thetvdb_favorites not working

after a flexget daemon reload I get:

CRITICAL manager [/tasks/download/configure_series/from/thetvdb_favorites] 'username' is a required property

My understanding is that I need to use the Account Identifier as a username, because otherwise the daemon reloads the config correctly, but after spinning a test I get:

Error retrieving favorites from thetvdb: 401 Client Error: Unauthorized for url: https://api-beta.thetvdb.com/login

But, even after adding the username, this is what thetvdb returns me:

WARNING  configure_series download        Input thetvdb_favorites did not return anything
INFO     configure_series download        Did not get any series to generate series configuration
